In September 2015 I rented an empty space in the Weserstrasse (Neukölln, Berlin) where I started a Pop Up photostudio for one month. My goal was to make beautiful, weird, crazy photo portraits from all sorts of people who would walk by or visit me. It also was an experiment to see how far I could go with making these portraits of passersby and how much they were willing to pay for it. During the 4 weeks the window of my temporary studio was slowly growing into a small exhibition. Because the project was so succesful I organised more Pop Up photostudios.
Last June I took over Galerie Knoth & Krüger in Oranienstrasse 188, Kreuzberg, Berlin. (see PopUp02)
In August I occupied Carpentier Galerie in Meinekestrasse 12a, Wilmersdorf, Berlin. (see PopUp03)
At the end of December (2016) I worked for 2 weeks in the gallery space of Kunsthaus KuLe in Auguststrasse 10, Mitte, Berlin. Which will be continued for another 2 weeks somewhere in spring/summer of 2017. (see PopUp04)
Future plans: Because of the variety of the different neighbourhoods in Berlin, I'm focussing on Prenzlauerberg, Schönenberg, Friedrichshain and Wedding for future PopUpPhotoStudios. If you know something...don't hesitate and write me a message :)
